This infographic compares the driving safety statistics of men and women, and covers a number of different motoring offences, from drink driving to vehicle collisions. Click here to read the text. The interesting thing is that it wasn't produced by an insurance company trying to appeal to women drivers. The study was conducted by Just Motor Law, a Wirral-based solicitors firm who specialise in all things related to motoring law.

Most cars offer a keyring or a t-shirt, quite a few do bikes and golf clubs, Volvo does yachts, BMW built a bobsleigh, so it seems right that Bentley, a firm known for its wood and soft leather should produce a range of furniture.
   The marque has linked up with Club House Italia to create this understated, elegant style. I do love it that they give the furniture names, just like IKEA.
    The bodies of the Richmond pieces are created with a curving double shell and can be covered in  leather or a fine veneer of burr walnut. The same wide selection of veneers available for Bentley cars  is also available for most pieces in the collection. The wood is then carefully matched to a padded structure covered in a light cashmere. The seating offers the same sumptuous comfort and luxury of a Bentley's seats.
   The colour palette is tasteful, with neutral tones of ivory and something called taupe, matched with shades of beige and cream. The quilted diamond pattern embossed in Bentley's leather interiors has also been used for the soft furnishings

The new collection consists of:

Richmond An elegant line of seating which includes sofas, chaise longues and armchairs.

Madeley & Kendal A large oval or round meeting table with Kendal chairs embellished with leather and the Bentley logo which can be embroidered on the back, on request. A trapezoidal structured table made of curved wood panels with edges embellished in hand-made leather coating. The feet are made of steel with a gun-metal finish.

Sherbourne & Kingsbridge Tall and short leather-coated cabinets with veneered fronts; these are also available in smooth or quilted leather. The handles and feet are made from steel with a complementing gun-metal grey finish.

Harlow A modern coffee table with metal steel structure and a gun-metal grey finish. The surface is made from onyx or leather coated.

Canterbury The bed has an imposing headboard,  available in leather or fabric. An innovative duvet cover, Fibra di Legno®, is a high-quality fabric made from wood pulp that gives the yarn softness and smoothness, adding to the luxurious feel.

It used to be boys who put graphics and furry dice on their cars to make them look more macho. Now the girls are getting in on the act to make their cars even more girly. Today was a landmark – I drove my first Chinese car at the SMMT South driving day. The MG3 looks OK and the test car as in a nice shade of blue with fancy roof, but plastics are cheap, engine is rough and gutless, and the ride is jiggly.
    Of course, it’s going to feel like a budget product with a price tag ofrom £8,399 to £9,999. No doubt it will attract people who would rather buy new than used, and who like all the bells and whistles - it certainly worked for Hyundai and Kia.
   This one has one millions colour and personalisation options, too, and you can choose your warranty period and adjust the price accordingly. The range will soon gain an SUV and a saloon.
   But I really think it would be better without the baggage of the MG branding. This company and this car have nothing to do with the old MG, and fans of the brand will be set against it before even trying one. MG was always a premium badge, and during its glory days, it was a sporty badge. It doesn’t sit easily on the nose of a budget family hatchback.

Are you buying a used car? How can you be sure it's what it says it is? An HPI check will reveal if it has been cloned, or whether it has ever been registered as a write-off, if it still has finance owing on it, or it it has been stolen (in which case, you could lose the car).
   Sometimes a check just reveals clues that all is not as it should be, for example, if it's white when it's been registered as green.
