It's not easy being Victoria Beckham. Snappers constantly yell at her to smile, but I know why she doesn't - she looks goofy. They write that she looks thin or tired. And I'm not surprised, being a mum of four, keeping one of the world's most famous men in hand, flying backwards and forwards to sort out her extremely successful clothing line, which recently gained a younger sub-brand. It's amazing she gets time to sleep, let alone get involved in marketing Range Rovers. The Range Rover Evoke special edition with Victoria Beckham was unveiled at the Auto China Expo in Beijing, which says a lot about how the world has changed since the girls wanted 'zigazig ah' Her motto for the clothing is "If it's wrong for my wardrobe, it's wrong for the brand." (Along with "If the legs are out, put the tits away.") Clearly she's thought the same way for the car. You can easily imagine her slithering down from the soft leather seats in her killer heels, pouting with pleasure she gives it an admiring backward glance. She says she was inspired by luxury yachts and favourite cars. The seats are soft tan leather and she added deep-pile mohair mats to recreate the feeling of luxury carpets in her father's Roller. (The one that landed her with the nickname 'posh'). The exterior is stealth grey, but rose gold accents on the 20in gloss black alloy wheels look like spinning golden bands when the car is in motion, and there are rose gold-plated highlights on the dash. Just 200 will be built Jaguar Land Rover's Halewood factory on Merseyside and will sell for £80,000 each. |
