My New York International Auto Show favourites: Toyota Avalon

So yes, that sketch (see post below) was the 2013 Toyota Avalon. Sadly the real thing isn’t as swoopy as the sketch suggested, but it’s a serious improvement on the last one.
It was styled by Calty Design in California and the engineering team in Ann Arbor Mich have done clever things to give it agile handling.
There’s a V6 under the hood, and you can change gear using paddle shifters mounted on the stitched leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The interior provides more passenger space than the BMW 5-series and is crammed full of the latest tech plus fashionable ambient lighting.
